Hi, everyone! The holidays are my favorite time of year for a bunch of reasons – sweaters, hot cocoa, and long drives in the snow – but this year, I am most excited to visit some of my friends on the East Coast.
First, Frank and I are headed to North Carolina to celebrate Hanukkah with my boyfriend, Ethan. The drive from my place in Minnesota to Ethan’s house in North Carolina is 20 hours, so after making a 3am coffee run at Minnoco, we hit the road with our favorite holiday tunes.
We’ve stopped at the Kum & Go on Holiday (!) Road in Iowa to fuel up on E15. Because ethanol keeps my car running smoothly, it’s good to know I’ll have reliable transportation on this long trip.
My next stop will be at my friend Maria’s house in Pennsylvania for Christmas, followed by a visit to Sharisse, my college roommate, for Kwanzaa.
My trip will total over 2,000 miles. While it’s a lot of time to be on the road (and I know Frank will get restless!), I feel better knowing that my carbon emissions are 43 percent lower thanks to E15.
Wishing a wonderful holiday season to all of my followers!
